Hello, I'm Anthony Gamble and I would be honored to go to work as your next Sheriff.
My 32 years of law enforcement experience started at Marion County's Sheriff Department, and the majority of my time as an officer of the law has been with the department. I'm currently a sergeant here at the sheriff's department and am honored to serve the good people of Marion County daily.
I've seen a lot of changes over the years, but protecting and serving YOU, the people, should still be the focus of our Sheriff's department.
As your Sheriff, I will build trust with our communities by maintaining a record of consistent fairness & accountability and being present and available.
The sheriff's department can only be as effective as its team, so I will work to retain our high quality employees, provide effective & relevant training, and recruit good people when needed.
Finally, the young people of Marion County are our future. As your Sheriff, I will make it a priority to invest in our youth by growing the programs we currently have in place and providing more supports.
My wife Shannon and I have a lifelong connection to Marion County. We were both raised here, and have children and grandchildren that live here and attend our schools. I've owned and operated a business here, led Christmas for Kids, led Step for kids, helped to train football programs, served as minister at our county jail, and have been a SRO in the schools while Shannon has taught and coached our youth for 30 years.
